He has focused his practice around digital dentistry, particularly in the areas of Orthodontics, Implantology, and Cosmetics. Most recently, he was named the project manager of Blue Sky Bio Orthodontics. He spends much of his non-clinical hours refining digital workflows to optimize treatment outcomes and efficiency. He completed his research doctorate in Dermatological, Maxillofacial and Plastic Reconstructive Sciences. He is currently Assistant Professor of Dental Sciences at Bologna University lecturing in Implant Surgery in the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses. Born and raised in Edison, New Jersey, he received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. His desire to apply his engineering knowledge to a health profession led Dr. Capio to attend the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009. In 2013 Dr. Capio acquired a quaint but beautiful 4 chair dental office known as Dental Solutions in Marina del Rey. In 8 years time, through high quality service, honesty, and lots of luck our dental practice found the need for more space. Today in 2022 Dr. Capio has moved locations and combined practices with his long-time mentor and friend Dr. Lance A. Sherman. This new home located at 8501 Lincoln Blvd. was Dr. Sherman’s father’s dental office and has been in the same location for OVER 70 YEARS! He has spent a prodigious amount of time in surgery with his clients — coaching them individually through scenarios including hard and soft tissue site preparation, placements, sinus and ridge augmentations, and full-arch solutions. Over the past decade, Dr. Hillam has taught implantology in a wide variety of settings — including as a faculty member for Implant Training Solutions, The California Implant Institute, and as a private consultant. Dr. Hillam has lectured on implant and soft tissue topics in many parts of the U.S. and abroad. He continued his education as a student at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10 of his class , earned the Alexander Kaufman Scholarship, and received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2008. In 2009 Dr. Goeckeritz established Falling Creek Dental in Draper, Utah, which is currently celebrating it's 11th year of serving the dental needs of the community. Dr. Goeckeritz is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and served as President of the Southeast Valley Dental Society from 2014-2015. Dr. Goeckeritz furthered his education by completing over 500 additional credit hours and passing an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams, to earn his degree as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2017. A distinction earned by only 6% of U.S. dentists. In 2018 Dr. Goeckeritz was honored to be selected as a guest lecturer to teach on Cosmetic Dentistry in New Orleans at the National Convention for the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Goeckeritz enjoys spending time with his family mountain biking, road cycling, skiing, and enjoying the beautiful Corner Canyon area near his home in Draper, Utah.
