My dental career brought me to AZ in 2015 and I have never wanted to leave! I have always enjoyed staying active, exploring new places and making friends, AZ has given me the opportunity to do all those things and more. INSPIRATION I’ve always known that I wanted to give back by helping others. Early on, I was drawn to the artistry of dentistry and how this art has the power to heal and positively impact someone’s life, and in many cases, save their life. Today, I feel grateful knowing that I not only enjoy the work that I do, but that I am making someone’s life that much better. EDUCATION I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelors degree in Biology. Shortly after, I received my Masters in Biomedical science and followed by that, a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. I consider myself a life long learner and take every opportunity to look at situations with a unique perspective. PROFESSIONAL At work, the well-being of my patients is my primary concern. As an early adapter to CAD-CAM, intraoral imaging techniques and CBCT, Dr. Kim’s work has led him to focus on increased accuracy and consistency in the placement of dental implants, for the benet of both his patients and the industry. He conducts seminars on implant technology and is an innovator in developing new methods to enhance the nal result of the implants. Dr. Schinazi was rewarded the Quintessence award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics, as well as the Bernard Rudner award for comprehensive care and clinical excellence. Dr. Schinazi continued his post doctorate training in Periodontics & Implantology at NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Schinazi prides himself on comprehensive patient care, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and a compassionate approach to patient needs. Dr. Schinazi is continuously staying up to date with innovative technology & techniques in order to provide individualized & advanced care for his patients. Some of which include, the minimally invasive laser technology, LANAP, for treating gum disease and failing implants. In his free time, Dr. Schinazi enjoys spending time with his wife and two small children, playing basketball, listening to music and traveling. Dr. Mennito practiced 90 minutes away in Bamberg. Their son, Sam, was born in 2007, and in 2009 he began teaching at MUSC College of Dental Medicine. At the Medical University, he found a love of teaching that has only grown stronger. Over the past 10 years, while teaching and practicing dentistry, he has done the research, patented a dental material, started a biotech company, published 17 clinical papers, and began an international speaking career focusing on dental technology and materials. He is excited to join a new group of mentors and partners at Expertise Dental, all focused on a common goal – providing the best dentistry for patients, using modern technology and techniques to make sure that patients’ oral health stays in great shape. In his own words… “People often ask me why I became a dentist. At the age of 14 I knew very little of the dental profession. During this year, two things happened that changed that. First, I got braces. I went from a kid who was self-conscious about the gaps in my teeth to a confident teen who wasn’t afraid to smile. This was quite impactful for me. Second, I learned that one of my friend’s fathers was a dentist. He started talking to me about my braces and soon I learned that he was a wealth of knowledge about teeth and smiles as well as a really cool guy. He asked if I wanted to shadow him in his clinic during the summer and I agreed. After that, I was hooked. The truth is dentistry is everything I could have asked for in a career. Challenging yet rewarding, It’s the type of career where there is always something else to learn. I love that. Who could ever get bored when you are constantly growing and discovering new technologies, new techniques and new materials? Eventually, I got to the point where I could educate others, which has its own special set of rewards. All this education we undertake in the hopes of improving our ability to care for our patients with better diagnoses, better treatments, better outcomes and better experiences. He graduated with merit from the University of Warwick with a MSc. degree in Implant Dentistry. He is currently studying a MClinDent at King's College, London in fixed and removable prosthodontics. David lectures both nationally and internationally on all aspects of guided implant surgery and advanced restorative dentistry. He is the director of Smile Designs Dental Laboratory, Harrogate and Smile Designs Implant Studio. His practice is limited to implant dentistry. After 13 years of serving Latin American communities, Dr. Virgil Mongalo has opened two non-profit corporations in Florida with the purpose of providing free dental surgical procedures such as extractions of decayed teeth, elimination of infections, bone grafting, ridge augmentation and implant placement. The new Live Implant Training Institute is located in Kissimmee, Florida and will be opening its doors in November 2022. To date 10,500 patients have received 63,720 implants donated and 2,750 USA dentists have participated in this Social-Christian-Educational program directed by Dr. Virgil Mongalo in conjunction with board certified Oral-Maxillofacial Surgeons, board certified Periodontists, board certified Prosthodontists and accredited Oral Implantologists.
