After receiving his dental degree, he served one-year surgical residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After receiving advanced training in surgery and implantology, he received Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Dr. Parshin lectures on CAD/CAM guided surgery, implant products, new implant technology, 3D technology in dentistry and digital dentistry. In the employment and business context, Helen drafts contracts, advises on business-start-up, and represents clients on all sides of the employment relationship- individual employees, managers, or employers. Routinely Helen negotiates and counsels clients on employment agreements, including non-competition, confidentiality, and severance agreements. Also, she drafts employment handbooks and various policies and procedures. Helen will advise businesses on best practices, including their sexual harassment training obligations. Helen has lectured on topics such as legal issues affecting small businesses and legal rights and obligations from multiple sides of the employer-employee relationship. Currently she is a faculty lecturer for Financial Poise in its Protecting your Employee Assets series. For the past two years she has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers in the area of employment law. Helen belongs to several civic and professional organizations. He graduated summa cum laude and was awarded his bachelor of science in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy. From there, Dr. Kanas continued on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy. He graduated at the top of his dental class and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Finally, he went on to specialize, where he earned his Masters of Dental Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year, he was appointed Chief resident, and he was awarded as a 2018 Eugene L. Gottlieb Journal of Clinical Orthodontics Student of the Year Finalist. In addition to his educational background, Dr. Kanas is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Dental Association and American Dental Association. This allows him to have access to conferences, seminars and orthodontic publications in order to stay up to date with his specialty. Dr. Kanas loves the orthodontic profession. The orthodontic profession allows him to change the lives of his patients by giving them confidence, a sense of attractiveness and being happier, all with a knockout smile. His primary focus is to provide quality orthodontic treatment, and to develop relationships with his patients. He has a wide range of proficiency in many cutting-edge treatment techniques such as temporary anchorage devices, soft tissue lasers, multiple functional appliances, virtual appointments and all brands of clear aligners. He completed his research doctorate in Dermatological, Maxillofacial and Plastic Reconstructive Sciences.
