Mon premier contact avec les technologies numériques s’est fait par l’achat d’un Cerec en 2008. Rapidement, la possibilité de coupler Cerec et cone-beam m’a permis d’intégrer la chirurgie guidée dans mon exercice quotidien.J’ai eu un énorme déclic en découvrant le Smile Design. Cela a été paradoxal car je venais de décider de consacrer mon exercice à l’implantologie et j’ai donc immédiatement cherché à intégrer cet outil de planification à mes cas. Cela m’a amené à m’intéresser à des logiciels ouverts pour ne pas être limité dans les possibilités d’intégration. Je travaille donc, aujourd’hui, avec le logiciel Blue Sky Plan, qui permet de gérer nos cas, du plus simple au plus abouti.Moniteur de plongée et skipper de voiliers, j’ai toujours cultivé la pédagogie et le partage des connaissances.Aujourd’hui, mon activité est complétée par des chirurgies lives, conférences, cours au DU d’implantologie de Lille, pour mon plus grand plaisir, et cette formation est pour moi l’occasion d’aller au bout de cette démarche pédagogique et de partage d’expérience. Arriving to the United States in 1995, he studied at the University of Texas - Dental Branch in Houston, Department of Prosthodontics, and obtained his certificate in Prosthodontics and Master in Science Degree in 1998. This was followed by a one year fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the Dental Oncology and MD Anderson Cancer Center where he obtained the Certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. He maintains a practice limited to prosthodontics in Houston, Texas and has an institute dedicated to the furthering of dental education in Dental Implantology, Digital Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. He is a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at UT School of Dentistry in Houston for the last 4 years. DDS Dr. Hogan is a general dentist, accomplished implant dentist, life-long learner, teacher, father, and resident of Shore Drive and Virginia Beach. He is a recognized leader in dental implant, restorative, cosmetic, and sedation dentistry throughout America. He has spent countless hours in post-graduate education on dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and reconstructive dentistry. He is credentialed as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI,) an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID,) and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI.) He has served the AAID for 4 years culminating as the President of the Southern District. Dr. Hogan has lectured internationally on the topic of dental implants and bone reconstruction. His knowledge of implant dentistry was so aptly recognized by the AAID that he has served on the AAID’s Admissions and Credentialing Committee in Chicago, IL since 2014. Meet the accomplished dental experts shaping excellence at Blueskybio. < Back Dr. Scherer, Michael Doctor Dr. Michael Scherer is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University, a Clinical Instructor at University of Nevada – Las Vegas, and maintains a practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Sonora, California. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, has published articles, DVD training series, and full‐online courses related to implant dentistry, clinical prosthodontics, and digital technology with a special emphasis on implant overdentures. As an avid technology & computer hobbyist, Dr. Scherer’s involvement in digital implant dentistry has led him to develop and utilize new technology with CAD/CAM surgical systems, implement interactive CBCT implant planning, and outside of the box radiographic imaging concepts. Dr. Scherer also maintains five YouTube channels: “LearnLOCATOR”, “LearnLODI”, “LearnSATURNO”, “LearnLOCATOR F‐Tx” and “The 3D Dentist”‐ popular YouTube channels on standard and narrow diameter dental implant procedures and digital.
